John Clemons Awarded the 1996 Gold Award for Excellence in Graphic Design for the best graphic design work in Tasmania (in open competition) for his catalogue/invitation/poster for the Plimsoll Gallery exhibition, Noah's Ark. 1996 Won the major print design commission for Hobart City Council’s cultural development program, TasDance visual identity and Zootango Theatre Company. 1996 Won a commendation in the National student design competition for a new cover for Design Graphics magazine 1996. Won first prize in the 1997 Museum Publication Design Awards for his poster for the Plimsoll Gallery exhibition, Pinnacles. The invitation for Pinnacles won a second prize and his invitation for Nothing Natural won third prize
