First Year Unit FSH110 Photography 1

Employs a series of demonstrations to teach the use of the camera and basic skills of black-and-white photography. In the first semester, students are given assignments introducing specific aspects of the medium. In the second semester, they explore an individual project. Regular group critiques and individual consultation with the lecturer provide feedback and the exchange of ideas. Thematic slide lectures relate to assignments and give students exposure to historical and contemporary photographic imagery.
