Master of Fine Arts (Research)

Is normally of two years' duration and is a research higher degree. It involves the candidate in undertaking work of a speculative and individual nature in an approved field of study, exploring a central theme or hypothesis.

Master of Fine Arts and Design (Fee Paying Course work)

A three semester, full-time program. It may not necessarily be available in all studios in any given year. It is available to Australian students (and international students) on a fee-paying basis only. The MFAD aims to provide a high quality, recognized qualification at postgraduate level in a professional-practice oriented coursework program. Students complete one or more professional practice projects, with the option of undertaking a research component in the final semester. There are a range of flexible entry requirements for those with university degrees or equivalent professional experience.
